I always buy Kilner preserving jars as I have had other makes crack when hot jams have gone into them. Kilner jars are the best by far and last a very long time. You can also get replacement rubber seals in case you ever need them. They are perfect for preserving my jams, chutneys and relishes, and so far I have never had anything go mouldy in them as the seal really is nice and tight. Tip – I always put a wax paper on the top of the jam etc as an extra seal.
